Mi ci è voluto un po' per arrivare lì.

Questa serie è iniziata quando ho avuto una rivelazione mentre esploravo la necessità di andare oltre, di andare più a fondo coi miei ritratti.


Sono una ritrattista e la risposta è venuta da sola nel momento in cui mi sono messa a sperimentare con tecniche di doppia esposizione in camera digitale.


La prima volta che ho creato uno di questi ritratti mi sono resa conto che dentro c'era molto di più di quanto pensassi;


Questa rappresentazione prende una dimensione concettuale sia per il soggetto che per la fotografa come se questi ritratti vivessero di una vita propria.


Infatti, la vivono, posizionandosi in un duplice movimento: guardano sia all'interno che all'esterno allo stesso tempo.


Sono una sorta di soglia tra la visione e la realtà: possono ingannare, nascondere, mentire, liberare, incarnare e trasformare.


Sono il modo che ho per guardare attraverso, per vedere oltre, per creare un ritratto che sia unico.


Che non potrà mai essere ripetuto nella stessa maniera di prima.

It took me a while to get there.


This series started as a personal revelation of some kind as I needed to explore something beyond, somehow deeper.


I'm a Portrait Photographer the answer came by itself by exploring double exposure techniques on camera.


First time I took one I realized that there is more on those portraits than I thought of; this representation is conceptual for the subject and for the photographer because these portraits are living a life of their own, positioning themselves in a dual nature: they look both inside and out at the same time.


They are a link between a vision and reality: they can deceive, hide, lie, get free, embody and transform.


They are my means to see through, to see beyond, to take a portrait that's unique.
