(THE GARDENS OF A SOUL)

I giardini sono visioni del nostro passato e del nostro futuro.

Sono suggestioni sul presente: nascosti, irraggiungibili e effimeri.

I giardini ci parlano in un linguaggio segreto che ci guida verso la nostra più profonda interiorità. Sono l’immagine di quello che più genuinamente chiamiamo “casa”.

Pare che non si possa pensare ai primi momenti della nostra infanzia senza pensare a un giardino.

È un luogo che ci è caro perché spesso ci abbiamo passato dei momenti spensierati.

Se chiudi gli occhi vedi il tuo.

Mi sono chiesta: c’è un modo per ripercorrere questo movimento emotivo dall’interno verso l’esterno?

Esiste la possibilità di comunicare quello che mi riempie di emozione quando ripenso a quelle immagini nella mia memoria?

Questa serie si intitola “I giardini dell’anima” perché ha iniziato a prendere forma nella mia immaginazione quando ho capito che c’è un giardino che ricorre, e al quale torno, dalla mia infanzia.

È l’orto di mio nonno. Volevo dargli una forma tangibile così da realizzare il viaggio verso l’esterno;

ogni immagine di questa serie rappresenta un giardino reale.

Un giardino che amo.

Che ho amato.

E che amerò.

Gardens are visions of our past and our future.

Gardens are suggestions of our present: hidden, unattainable and unredeemable.

Gardens, they speak to us in a secret language that guides us towards our very own, very inner centre.

Inward they lead us, as they are the absolute image of what we most honestly call "home".

It seems that we cannot recall the first moments of our lives without thinking about a Garden. It's a place we treasure somehow because there we experienced pleasant moments.

Everyone has its own.

I asked myself: is there a way to go from the inside to the outside?

Is there a way to communicate what most makes me emotional while recalling those images in my memory?

This ongoing series is called "The Gardens of a Soul" because it started taking shape in my mind when I realized that in my childhood memories there's a recurrent Garden which I lived as a child.

That's my beloved Grandfather's vegetable garden.

I wanted to give a tangible form to this thought so as to travel the journey outwardly and every single shot represents a Garden for me, a real Garden I love.

I loved.

I will love.
